With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lionel Hunter of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on December 2, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth M. Hunter and Delpha Hunter (Simmons); his brothers, Richard Eugene and Merlyn Glenn Hunter; and his grandson Scott Wesley Morrell.

He is survived by: his spouse Davis; his daughter Linda Kay Morrell (Brian); his grandsons, Christopher Brian Morrell (Cody), Chad Brian Morrell (Katie) and Justin Matthew Morrell; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Lucas, Melanie, Avery and Emilia Morrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in his honor be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
