She was predeceased by: her parents, Casey Edward and Elsie Olive Whitten (Grigg); and her sister Imogene Jones. She is survived by: her significant other Bob Deister of Decatur; her daughter Susan R. Rister (Tim) of Dow; her grandson Nick T. Rister of Dow; and her siblings, Stan Whitten (Sharon) of Forsyth, Imer Whitten (Diane), Ken Whitten (Ginny) and Judy Hawkins (Norman). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
