We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2019, at the age of 80, Lavonne M. West (Decatur, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Hammond and Lura Collins Hammond; her brothers, Don Hammond, Dennis Hammond, Edward Hammond, Jim Hammond and Ronald Hammond; her son-in-law Larry Johnson; her brother-in-law Eddie Suey; and her nephew Warren Blickem.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Lane West; her daughters, Donna Jeffers (Doug) of Tuscola, IL, Diana West of Hernando, FL, Denise Johnson of Shelbyville, IL and Dixie Palm-Leis (Arvo) of Decatur, IL; her siblings, Wendy Suey of Mt. Juliet, TN, Linda McConnell (Jerry) of Neoga, IL, Stella Lois Blickem (Vance) of Vancouver, WA, Mike Hammond (Lee) of Georgetown, TX, Bob Hammond (Karen) of Decatur, IL and Tom Hammond (Debbie) of Shelbyville, IL; and her sister-in-law Diana Hammond of Shelbyville, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
