He is survived by: his children, Steven McGee and Latasha Devine; his nieces, Toni Caldwell and Marilyn Wheeler (Caldwell); his wife Gertie McGee; his aunt Willie Mae Evans; his brothers-in-law, Earl Nobles, Jimmie Caldwell and Zenia Caldwell (Louise); and his niece Debra Harper (Caldwell). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Johnathan also worked at Wagner's Casting Company and Firestone, where he made valuable contributions to their respective industries.
