He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jackson and Almeda Jackson (Hoffmire); his wife Velva Joan King; his sister Wanda Havlind; and his grandson Christopher David Jackson (Charles Disney).

He is survived by: his children, Russell Jackson (Tamra) of Wichita, KS, John David Jackson (Susan) of Lee Summit, MO, Lois E. Pflum (Mike) of Decatur, IL and Tammy Lamb (Stan) of Jefferson City, MO; and his sisters, Ruth Rinewalt (Richard) of Ft. Worth, TX and Sue Artis of Sullivan, IL. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
