John Kenneth Grissom Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Kenneth Grissom of Decatur, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Arlo Grissom and Marie Grissom (Wood); and his son-in-law Andy Riley. He is survived by: his wife Garnett Trader; his daughters, Barbara Jean Riley of Magnolia Springs, AL, Sherry Lee McBride of Tallahassee, FL and Twila Ann McManmie (Chris) of Bethany, IL; his grandchildren, Charity, Trisha, Melissa, Bryant and Laura Lee; and his sisters, Patsy Gray of Greentown, IN and Wanda Forren of South Carolina. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526).
