He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Collins and Agnes Collins; his brothers, David and Daniel; and his son Andrew.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Amy Hobbie (Jim) of Crowley, TX, Chris Collins of Champaign, Dan Collins (Carol) of Decatur, Laura Collins of Estes Park, CO and Suzanne Plott (Todd) of Plano, TX; his stepdaughters, Michelle Wagner (Kurt) of Mesa, AZ and Shannon Warland (Tim) of Wheaton, IL; and his granddaughter Danielle. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grand-children.
