It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe E. Deitz (Decatur, Illinois), born in Bible Grove, Illinois, who passed away on March 4, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Deitz and May Deitz; his wife Nina Mae Harmon; his brother Charles; and his daughter Judy McCrate.

He is survived by: his daughter Janet Sporleder (Brent) of Fisher, Illinois; and his close friend Sharon Hawthorne. He is also survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Janet Sporleder to be dispensed to local charities.
