He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore W. Peterson and Joan M. Peterson. He is survived by: his son Zane; his daughter-in-law Taylor; and his siblings, John and Judy. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heritage Behavioral Health Center for mental health awareness, in memory of Jim.
