It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeff A. Kashefska of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Jeff may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert E. "Butch" Kashefska and B. Darlene Kashefska (Lewis). He is survived by: his spouse Harley Rhodes; his son Tyler Kashefska (Jacinda); his granddaughter Evelyn; and his sisters, Debbie Rosser (Marvin) and Donna Rafferty (Michael).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel (4020 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (3778 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62526).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
