He was predeceased by: his former wife Marcella Bohn; his wife Frances Dickerson; his children, Pamela Rozplochowski and Michael Brown; his stepdaughter Ricella Metcalf; and his sisters, Betty Stone, Jean Doxey and Marie Cowser.

He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Graves of Decatur; his stepchildren, Richard Fisher and Marcia Anderson of Decatur; and his siblings, Ollie Burcham, Mary Ditty and Charles "Chuck" Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
