With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jackie Vandevanter (Decatur, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Vandevanter and Wanda Vandevanter; his wife Joette Marie Vandevanter of Decatur; his children, Lorie Laskowski (Jeffrey) of Argenta, Christopher Vandevanter of Decatur and Karla Lamberto (Michael) of Pasco, WA.; his grandchildren, Karson, Konnor, Luke, Zachary, Rachel and Gabrielle; his great grandchild Katara; his sister Marsha Kohler of Decatur; his nephew Joshua (Amy); and his great-nephew Oliver Smith of Decatur.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Decatur Church of God (4500 W Main St, Decatur, IL 62522). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society or to The Macon County Humane Society.
