He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sweitzer and Tillie Sweitzer (Franzen); his wife Jean Anderson; and his stepbrother Ralph Franzen. He is survived by: his sons, Phil Sweitzer (Jan) of Decatur and Gary Sweitzer (Amy) of Mt. Zion; his brother Clyde Sweitzer (Sue) of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Sweitzer, Matthew Sweitzer and Rachel Sweitzer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
