It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Vahlkamp (Decatur, Illinois), born in Carlyle, Illinois, who passed away on July 20, 1956, at the age of 22, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, John Vahlkamp and Rose Vahlkamp; his wife Mary Jo; his children, Teresa Smith (Jeff Nosek), Steve (Connie), Stuart, Vern and Diane Conover (Joe); his grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen, Brian Smith, Kaley Vahlkamp, Colby Vahlkamp, Jada, Gianna and Grace Conover; his siblings, Vernon (Helen), Willene Fehrmann, Rosemarie Husmann (Ray), Lillian Fleckenstein (Jack), Mary Huwa and Lee Love (Dan); his brother-in-law Ralph Hilmes (Carol); his brother Jack; his siblings-in-law, Jane Vahlkamp, Paul Fehrmann and Mary Margaret Hilmes; and also Blanche Drake (Bob Eversgerd).
