He is survived by: his wife Pat Stoots; his children, Tom Stoots (Shannon), Steven Stoots Sr., Kimberly Black (Dwayne) and Jennifer Stoots (Drew Craw); his grandchildren, Kristopher Stoots, Amber Weddle (Dylan), Austin Stoots (Kaileia), Steven Stoots Jr., Caitlin Stoots (Corbin), James Sample (Kimberly), Matthew Sample, Emma Lawrence, Lillian McNew and Ravyn Craw; his great grandchildren, Gabriella Weddle, Brooklynn Weddle and Owen Moore; his sister Linda Hinthorn; the mother of his children Vicki Hill; and his uncle Joe.
