She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Hays (Robert); her daughter-in-law Debbie Smith of Decatur; and her grandchildren, Shelly Reed, Lori Hughes (Gary), Ashlee Smith (Edna), Amber Simpson (Josh) and Alyssa Smith (Tony Piraino). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Laverne, son Larry Smith, who died in 2020 due to COVID.
