She was predeceased by: her parent Beatrice Davis; her children, Jimmy Jones and Darlene Newbern; and her brothers, Steven Estes and James Estes.

She is survived by: her husband William T. Newbern Sr.; her children, William T. Newbern Jr., Evette Williams (Johnnie), Lisa Newbern, Katasha Jones and De'Mon Newbern; and her siblings, Barry Davis, Willie Fred Estes, Jerry Wayne Estes, Gladys McNeary, Annie Ruth Wilkins, Deborah Abdullah (Kevin) and Denise Estes. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.
