She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelm Seidel and Erna Seidel (Mueler); and her husband Werner A. Schafer. She is survived by: her daughters, Wiltrud Treffenfeldt (Michael) of Switzerland and Martina Binder (Robert) of Decatur; and her cousin Michael Cole (Christina) of Tennessee.
