She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Engel and Emelia Engel (Herzing); and her spouse Geo. She is survived by: her children, Larry Rubenacker (Maggie) of Canton, MA, Barbara Headington (Frank) of Neenah, WI, Mary Langan-Powaga (Mike Powaga) of Aurora, IL and Thomas Rubenacker (Mary Rose) of Wheaton, IL.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2400 S Franklin Street Rd, Decatur, IL 62521). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Graceland Cemetery (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Holy Family Church or School.
