We bid farewell to Elsie J. Escobar of Decatur, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2025 at the age of 89. Elsie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, Elsie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert R. Bowen and Lois Bowen (Arterburn); and her husband Rudy V. Escobar. She is survived by: her children, Richard Hopkins (Lauren) of Warrenton, MO, Susan Paradee of Moweaqua, IL and Patricia Woley of McLeansboro, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Seitz Funeral Home (118 E Main St, Moweaqua, IL 62550). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
