We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2025, at the age of 82, Douglas Precht of Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Delford Precht and Gladys Precht (Petersmeyer); and his stepson Bobby Heimlich. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Heimlich (Eck) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Brittany Tawdrouse (John), James Patterson, Dustin Patterson (Jami) and Jodi Allen (Brooks); his brothers, Mark McCloud (Sandy) of Vancouver, WA and Philip Precht of Ft. Worth, TX; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Eck (Debbie) of Broken Arrow, OK and Don Eck of Portland, OR.

Memorials may be made to the New Life Pregnancy Center.
