With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Ferguson (Decatur, Illinois), born in Walnut Hill, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 9, 2024 at the age of 93. Though Dorothy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Loyd and Noma Loyd; her husband Willard Ferguson; her brothers, Harry, Ray "Junior" and Donald; her grandson Chris Ferguson; and her daughter-in-law Marsha Ferguson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Walt Loyd of Springfield, Earl Loyd of New Berlin and Alice Gardner of Normal. She is also survived by three grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
