He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Leslie and Viola M. Hood (McGuire); and his wife Lynette Lee Sy. He is survived by: his children, Kelli Kerr (Doug) of Bethany, IL, Kristi Rigg (Todd) of Mt. Zion, IL, Erin Wright (Chris) of Gulf Shores, AL and TJ Hood of Mt. Zion, IL; his grandchildren, Brittany Hogan (Aaron) of Mt. Zion, IL, Courtany Beiler (Matthew "Bubba") of Mt. Zion, IL, Ava, Anna Rigg of Mt. Zion, IL, Harrison, Liam, Lennox Wright of Gulf Shores, AL, JuleeAnn, Zaydon and Zella Hood of Mt. Zion, IL; his great grandchildren, Jameson, Emmy Lou Hogan, Izzy, John Jay, Beau and Rhett Beiler; and his siblings, Sharon Taylor (Brad) of Argenta, IL, Pamela Johnson (Stephen) of Decatur, IL and Robert Hood (Penny) of Decatur, IL..

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Christian Church and GT Church in Decatur, IL.
