He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Sr and Carol Mefford, Sr. (Herring); and his cousin Michael Baker. He is survived by: his wife Charity; his children, Matthew Clary, Michael Clary of Maroa, Madison Mefford of Maroa and Mikayla Pearson (Jacob) of Mattoon; and his brother John Mefford of Neoga.
