He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Zirkle and Susan Zirkle (Fielding); his wife Catherine Jesse; and his siblings, Frank Zirkle Jr., Sanford Zirkle and Eileen Zirkle.
He is survived by: his children, Daryk Zirkle (Elizabeth) of Arlington, Virginia and Deroan Peters (Mark) of Decatur, Illinois; his grandchildren, Benjamin Peters (Samantha), Alex Peters, Claire Peters, Drake Zirkle, Helena Zirkle, Grace Zirkle and Margaret Zirkle; and his great grandchild Rachel Peters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
