He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Sandage (Edgecomb); and his siblings, Bill Sandage and Susan Edens. He is survived by: his children, Summer Kelso (Gary) of Greenwood, SC, Kelsey Sandage (Leda) of Decatur, IL, Nicolette Sandage of Decatur, IL and Cody Sandage of Decatur, IL; his father David Earl Sandage; his siblings, Mike Sandage of Decatur, IL, Rebecca Whitehurst of Decatur, IL and Tracy Casper (Phillip) of Charlotte, NC; and his grandchildren, Stevii, Caine, Brady, Ja'Cion, Talon, Tristan and Brayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
