He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Earl and Maybelle Leigh (Blaylock); his wife Dorothy Leigh; his daughter Janet Reynolds (Benny); and his siblings, Jeannie Adams and Clayton Leigh.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Earl Leigh (Paula) of Decatur, Richard Leigh (Christina) of Decatur, James Leigh (Mandy) of Decatur and Laura Leigh of Decatur; and his brother Bob Leigh of Shelbyville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren.
