With solemn reverence, we commemorate Carol Cooley (Decatur, Illinois), born in Ripon, Wisconsin, whose life came to an end on January 29, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Carol leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Carol may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Edward Cooley; her sons, Mark Cooley (Judy) of Hummelstown, PA and Lund Cooley (Denise) of New London, WI.; and her brother John Diedrich of Ripon, WI.. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (3465 N MacArthur Rd, Decatur, IL 62526).
Memorial donations may be made to the Decatur Public Library or Girl Scouts of Decatur.
