She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert and Clara M. Henderson (McClure); her husband Rodger Shafer; and her siblings, Joyce Dyer, Bill, Jim and Dave Henderson.

She is survived by: her sons, Rodger Shafer, Jr. (Mindy) of Mt. Auburn, Michael Shafer (Carrie Lynn Merris) of Decatur and Scott Shafer (Melissa) of Dalton City; her grandchildren, Maxwell of Ethan, A. J., Isabel, Sydni, Brecken, Amylie, Gage, Kristen and Katlynn; her great grandchild Kiya; her niece Crystal; and her nephews, Wayne and Adrian. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
