She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Blankenship and Gertha Blankenship (Malingen); and her spouse Harry S. Johnston. She is survived by: her children, Kevin D. Johnston of Decatur and Karen L. Prescher of Chillicothe, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty's honor to Christ United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL.
