It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annetta Hensley of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Annetta leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Annetta may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Johnson and Lula Mae Johnson (Daggett); her husband John C. Hensley; her son Jim; and her sister Sandra.
She is survived by: her son John W. Hensley (Pam) of Decatur. She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Park Baptist Church (1919 S Baltimore Ave, Decatur, IL 62521).
Memorials in Annetta's honor may be made to East Park Baptist Church or Black Tiger Honor Guard – make checks to John W. Hensley.
