We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2022, at the age of 85, Shirlee McDaniel of Dawson, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Paul Weber (Pappas) and Sue Lois Weber (Maloney); her husband Donald William McDaniel, Sr.; and her children, Glen, Robert McDaniel and Bonnie McDaniel Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Donna McDaniel Green of Springfield and Donald William McDaniel, Jr. (Melanie) of Dawson; and her friends, Sandy VanPelt, Mary Ladson, Margaret Day and Violet "Vi" Blose. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

“Much rememberances of our high school days at Ela-Vernon in Lake Zurich, we were very close. I did not have family, her parents Benny and Lois Caldera, accepted me as Shirlee,s friend. I have many memories of us. It is sad how years go by and we lose touch. I never went far: Barrington. and did not know she was still in Lake Zurich. How sad! Barbara Brenner Covard, now in Centuria, WI but still interested in Barrington & Lake Zurich.”
