With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janelle Marie Leonard of Dawson, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Heckwine and Dora Heckwine (Givens); and her siblings, Pete Gerald Heckwine and Peggy Sue. She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Sherry Gabbard, Jerry Howell (Daniel), Harry Howell (Mindie), Tiffiney Prytherch (Tony), Rick Leonard (Tammy), Tamara Hill (Pete), Mike Leonard (Kami), Charri Jung (TJ) and Shane Leonard (Prissy); her pet Wrigley; and her brothers, James and Gary Heckwine. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protective League or Wounded Warrior Project.
