He is survived by: his former wife Linda; his wife Chery Kauffold (Shaver); his children, April Foley (Joe) of Virginia and Andrew Roate of Delaware; his stepchildren, Travis Kauffold (Laurel) of Florida and Racheal Thurman (Darrin) of Illinois; his grandson David of Virginia; his stepgrandchildren, Olivia, Corbet, Henry, Finley and Jacob; and his siblings, Linda Abney (Greg), Mary Kay Lee (David), Dan Roate, Mike Roate (Lori), John Roate (Joy), Trish Brinkley (Fred), Vicky Golden (Tom), Steve Roate (Julie), George Roate, Bussy Roate (Colleen) and Matt Roate. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
