She was predeceased by: her parents, Chancellor Brown and Gladys Brown (Davis); her husband Marvin Horstmeier; her grandson James; and her brothers-in-law, Roger Horstmeier, Garland McHenry and Gary Boeger.
She is survived by: her children, Merle Horstmeier (Jamie), Mark Horstmeier (Susan) and Margo Turman (Jeff) of Davis; her grandchildren, Matthew Horstmeier, Michael Horstmeier (Jessica Grismore), Ryan Thiel (Kelly), Cari Kettleson, Holly Olson (Stephen), Alex Turman (Sarah) and Eric Turman (Jillian); her great grandchildren, Emily Grismore, Julianna Horstmeier, Cullen Thiel, Brody, Lexi Kettleson, Alessandra, Brennan Olson and Jordan Thompson; her sister Sharon McHenry of Valrico, FL; her sisters-in-law, Barb Horstmeier of Freeport, Sharon Boeger of Davis and Maryann Stubbe (Larry) of Dakota; and her caregiver Marie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established in her name for St. Paul Church, Northern Illinois Hospice and the Children's Dyslexia Centers – A Charity of Scottish Rite Freemasonry of Freeport.
