He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank R. Schwier, Sr. and Lillian B. Schwier; his siblings, Dorothea Berush (Martin), Lillian Seaton (Robert) and Richard Schwier (Dolores); and his son William D. Schwier.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean R. Homme; his children, Robert J. Schwier of Peoria, Christa Ahearn of Las Vegas and Kristina Dickens (Steven) of Darien; his grandchildren, Jack, Ryan, Olivia Schwier and Alliyah Dickens; and his siblings, Esther Kreft, Beatrice Shuminas, Francine Noetzel and Frank Schwier (DeLois).
Internment will be private. Due to the COVID-19 Virus, there will be a memorial service at a later date.
Memorials in Robert's memory may be made to his home church, Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills or Lurie Children's Hospital.
