It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E. Cheatem of Darien, Illinois, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James Cheatem; and his siblings, Bernice Echols and James Cheatem Jr. Dear. He is survived by: his children, Donald Cheatem (Molly), Letesha Anderson and Carlton Spence (Marie); his grandchildren, Cassidy Spence, Vanesha Culver, Clara Cheatem, Christopher Anderson, Chace Anderson, James Cheatem, Josephine Cheatem and Penelope Cheatem; and his siblings, Willma Cordy (Tom), Mary Louise Cheatem, Alma Williams (Bill), Mary Ann Love (Verdell) and Denise Thurman.
