Diane Elizabeth Carey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Elizabeth Carey of Darien, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert "Bob" Carey; her children, Margaret Carey, Julie Mclellan, Patricia Myers (Steve), Robert Carey (Elizabeth) and Daniel Carey (Alicia); her siblings, George Plancon (late Belkis), Barbara Hyland (late Thomas), James Plancon (Mary Ellen), Karen Lewis (late Jerry) and Paul Plancon (Lindsay); her caregiver Noelia Estrada; and her granddaughter Lillie Mclellan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hallowell & James Funeral Home (1025 W 55th St, Countryside, IL 60525). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Leonard's Catholic Church (3318 Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402).
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make memorial donations to the family which will be used to dedicate a bench in Diane's name at Hidden Lakes in Bolingbrook, where she found so much joy and peace, and where so many family memories were made.
