Though Willie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Willie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adlena Shepherd Forrest and Ernest Forrest; and his siblings, Norman Forrest (Dickie), Paul Forrest, Rufus Lee Forrest and Dorothy Henderson.
He is survived by: his children, Nina Jean Forrest and Jason Willie Forrest; and his siblings, Ruby Walls (Daniel) of Danville, IL and Charles "Bud" Forrest of Danville, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Leek & Sons Funeral Home (304 E Williams St, Danville, IL 61832). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
