He was predeceased by: his parents, William Engle and Selma Engle Sr. (Felgenhauer); his former wife Shirley Anne Roderick; his daughter Molly LaMar; and his sister Martha Nesbitt.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Welsch (Childs); his daughters, Lori Flessner (Ken Hill) and Linda Lonneman (Brian); his stepchildren, Kristi Swingle (Matt), Scott Abbott (Holly), Lori Allison (Kevin) and Kelli Miller; his son-in-law Kenneth LaMar; and his grandchildren, Grant LaMar (Chloe), Ayden LaMar (Elena Bartzis), Todd Flessner (Cassie), Ryan Flessner (Laura), Kristina Guire (Matt), Andrew Pfrank, Sarah Lonneman and Katie Lonneman. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren with one on the way, several step great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kruger Funeral Home & Crematory (10 E Williams St, Danville, IL 61832). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
