He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lyons and Betty Lyons (Lister); and his brothers, Harry Michael of Danville and Bruce of Phoenix, AZ.. He is survived by: his sons, Nik (Kate) of LeRoy, IL, Charles (Elisha) of Evansville, IN. and William (Scott); his siblings, Jan of Tilton, IL, Betsy Morgenroth (John) of Tilton, IL, Kathy of Tilton, IL and Randy of Home Gardens; his grandchildren, Alex (Tia), Mathew Lyons of Evansville, IN., Abby and Austin Lyons of LeRoy, IL.; and his pets, Shiloh, Mosby, Riley, Ellie and Milo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (123 W Main St, Westville, IL 61883). Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Danville National Cemetery (1900 E Main St, Danville, IL 61834).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the ALS Association and/or Wounded Warriors.
