He was predeceased by: his father Wilbert Gibson. He is survived by: his mother Verline Barber; his wife Kimberly Barber; his son Spurgeon Barber Jr.; his grandchildren, Lunah, Zy'aire, Emancio Barber and Mylah Simms; and his siblings, Tyrone, Jamfert (LeTisha), Wilbert (Marylyn), Janita and Shervala Farmer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
