He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Eugene and Helen Elizabeth Swider Sr. (Cooper); his wife Verla May Lewis; and his daughter Cathy Swider. He is survived by: his children, Verla "Sue" Swider, Robert Swider (Janice), Cindy Swider and Linda Davis (Dan); his grandchildren, Brandye Kizer (Kris), Robby Swider (Rebecca), Jarrod Swider (Caesi), Dale Swider (Danica), Brad Jordan (Amber), Josey Jordan (Kristy), Chuck Jordan (Becky), Cory Swider, Danny Davis (Misty) and Krystal Guzman (John); his nephew Robert Lewis; and his close friend John "Goat" Hires (Alice). He is also survived by thirty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kruger Funeral Home & Crematory (10 E Williams St, Danville, IL 61832). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
