Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Patricia Jane (Marble) Smith Claypool of Danville, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 89, on January 7, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Marble and G. Irene Marble (Fox); her husband Robert E. Smith; her brothers, Bobby Marble and James Marble; and her grandson Ryan Feezor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gayle Silkwood Defenbaugh of Danville, Reta James (Rick) of Danville and Pam Landis (Jim) of Danville; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Silkwood (Mary), Kimberly Pittman (Chase), Kari DeNeal (Dustin), April Kuras (Brett), Ashley Meadows (Devon), Daniel Feezor, Jason Landis (Kristen) and Jennifer Landis; her stepgrandchildren, Christopher Landis (Jessica), Tammy McMichael, Nicole Wolfe (Lance) and Chad Defenbaugh (Emily); and her brother Phillip Marble (Bonnie).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Pat's memory to Newell Township Historical Society or the Illiana Genealogical and Historical Society.
