With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie Lee Swinford of Danville, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd "Bud" Swinford and Colleen Swinford (Mauzy); and his brother Kevin Swinford. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Edwards; his sons, Derrick Swinford (Jill) and Jason Swinford; his grandchildren, Chelsea Haynes (Jordan), Hannah Noel (Kenzie), Hailee Swinford and Luke Swinford; his great grandchildren, Kiera, Ellie, Cayson, Cora, Maverick and Dutton; his brother Jeff Swinford (Vickie); and his sister-in-law Susie Swinford.
Memorials may be made in Lonnie's name to First Baptist Church, 1211 N. Vermilion Street in Danville.
