Linda Vacketta Obituary

The memory of Linda Vacketta of Danville, Illinois, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Kern and Mary Kern (Rippon); her son Mark William Vacketta; her brother Tom Cruppenink; her stepbrothers, Joe, George and Jack Cruppenink; her siblings-in-law, Harriet Vacketta (Jerald) and Joe Pintar; her son-in-law Olav Christensen; her nephew Brad Carter; and her niece Christine Cruppenink.

She is survived by: her husband Theodore J. Vacketta (Ted); her children, Cydra Christensen of Danville, Ted Jr. Vacketta (Betsy) of Danville, Gregor Vacketta of Danville and Carla Henry (Rich) of Urbana, IL.; her grandchildren, Reverend Jessica Vacketta of San Mateo, CA, Tove Adams (Justin) of Danville, Leslie Schebler (Greg) of Livermore, CA, Catie and Sara Henry of Urbana; her great grandchildren, Lily, Penny, Theo Schebler of Livermore, CA and Sofie Adams of Danville; her sister Connie Pierce of Westville; and her siblings-in-law, Jerald Vacketta of Oakwood, IL and Betty Pintar of Ft. Myers, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Linda's name may be offered to Danville Central Christian Church Foundation, Inc. at 1101 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61832.
