He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wood and Irene Wood (Rust); his daughter Tiffany Wood; and his siblings, Roberta Wood, Joseph Wood and Steve Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Wood of Danville, IL; his children, Lisa Mohler (Jamie) of Frankfort, IN, Rob Wood (Jennifer) of Frankfort, IN and Pete Powell (Kristi) of Danville, IL; his grandchildren, Meisha Puckett (Grayson), Isaac Wood (Katie), Christian Mohler (Alli), Kiara Wood, Trey, Ari Mohler, Doug Wood, Conner Powell and Brielle Powell; his great grandchildren, Grayson Puckett Jr., Shae Mohler and Da'Ziyah Mohler; and his siblings, John Wood and Dawn Spivey (Ray) of Port St. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Second Church of Christ (3350 E Voorhees St, Danville, IL 61834). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Jim's memory to Woman's Care Clinic or the Fischer Theater, both located in Danville, IL.
