We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 92, James H. Ellis of Danville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ellis and Mildred Ellis (Crawford); his wife Josephine Ann Flannery; his son Rodney Ellis; and his siblings, Jerry Ellis and Marjorie Harden.
He is survived by: his son Anthony Ellis (Tamarra) of Catlin, IL; his grandchildren, Addison Ellis (Mariel) of Acworth, GA and Blaine Ellis (Jennifer Alix) of Springfield, MA; his great grandchild Harper Ellis; and his brothers, Dwight Ellis (Lynn) of Danville, IL and Alan Ellis of Danville, IL..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Jim's memory to the Batestown United Methodist Church.
