He is survived by: his daughter Leisa Nimrick (Tom) of Richmond, KY; his grandchildren, Colton Abbott of Kentucky, Dawson Abbott (Meghan Crandall) of Kentucky, Brittany Hensley (Jordan) of Kentucky and TJ Nimrick of Ohio; his great grandchildren, Ember Abbott, Freya Abbott and Julianna Hensley; his siblings, Kenneth Block of Bismarck, IL, James Block (Nan Mettam) of Charleston, SC, Debby Townsley (William) of Danville, IL and Beth Carrigan of Danville, IL; his half-siblings, Chris Block of Tilton, IL, Brett Block of Cayuga, IN and Tammy Sexton of Rossville, IL; and his close friend Brenda Demos. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and special friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
