We bid farewell to Daniel Fortner (Danville, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 3, 2025 at the age of 75. Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma "Annabelle" Robertson and Donald "Jack" Fortner; his wife Peggy Fortner; his stepfather Bill Robertson; his brother Mark Fortner; his stepbrothers, Paul Robertson and Don Robertson; and his grandchildren, Daniel Kaluza, Brittany Maxwell and Grace Marie Cronk.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Keller (Theo) of Newport Indiana and Jill Fortner of Fishers, Indiana; his stepdaughter Jackie Cronk (Glenn Wirth) of Newport, Indiana; his grandchildren, Andrea Carpenter (Kyle), Connor Fortner, Audrey Fortner, Glenn Cronk (Cheyenne Staley), Willie Maxwell (Allison) and Rebecca Walker (Steven); his great grandchildren, Clayton Daniel, Lenny, Gabriel, Grant, Charlotte, Gunner, Finley, Noah, Brayden and Lillian; his brothers, Jim Fortner (Jane Burke) of Madison, WI and Glenn Robertson of Newport, IN; and his stepsiblings, Steve Robertson (Brenda) of Cayuga, IN and Cindy Sowers of Georgetown, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Newport Lion's Club.
